Kids with Cameras

Kids With Cameras is a non-profit organization which empowers marganalized children through teaching them the art of photography. Created in 2002 by NY photographer Zana Briski, who with co-director Ross Kaufman, received the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, Born Into Brothels; a film about seven children of Calcutta’s prostitutes and the impact of photography in their lives.

It wasn't until after my father passed away two years ago that I learned Doctors Without Borders/Médicins Sans Frontières was one of his favorite charities. Now it's one of mine. DWB/MSF provides medical assistance to those most in need around the globe.
